AODA.
The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. Its information and communications standard requires certain organisations' websites to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA.
Why it matters.
Which organisations and which deadlines depend on size and sector, and the reporting obligations are separate from the technical ones. Beyond compliance, the work overlaps almost entirely with things that help everyone: readable contrast, text that resizes, forms with real labels, and a site that can be used without a mouse.
How to check it yourself.
Try to use your own site with the keyboard only — tab through the menu, reach the form, submit it. Whatever you cannot reach is what an audit would find first.
Questions
Before you ask.
How do I check aoda on my own site?

Two minutes
Where does your
own site land?
Everything above came from opening real websites. Yours takes ten seconds: we load it the way a customer would and say what we find, including when the honest answer is that nothing needs doing.
If you want
one built.
We build the site, you look at it, and you pay once it is finished and you are happy with it. Hosting, edits and the Google listing carry on monthly, cancellable any month.
