Core Web Vitals.

Three measurements Google uses to describe how a page feels to a real visitor: Largest Contentful Paint (loading), Interaction to Next Paint (responsiveness) and Cumulative Layout Shift (visual stability).

Why it matters.

They are assessed on the 75th percentile of real visits, not on a laboratory test, which means a site can pass in a testing tool and fail in the field. They are a genuine ranking input but a light one — relevance still decides most results. Their commercial value is more direct than their ranking value: a page that is slow and jumps around loses enquiries regardless of where it ranks.

How to check it yourself.

Run your address through PageSpeed Insights and read the field data section rather than the score. Lab scores flatter a site; field data is what visitors actually met.

Before you decide anything

Find out whether
you have a problem.

Most people asking about a rebuild do not need one. The free check opens your site, looks at how it behaves on a phone, whether it is secure and how old the page is, and tells you which of those apply to you.
