Privacy policy.
The page stating what personal information the site collects, why, who it is shared with and how someone can ask about theirs.
Why it matters.
A site with a contact form needs one. Copying a competitor's is the standard shortcut and a bad idea, because it will describe tools you do not use and omit the ones you do. It should name your actual form, your actual analytics and your actual email provider, and give a real way to reach a human.
How to check it yourself.
Read your own privacy policy and see whether it names the tools you actually use. If it mentions services you have never heard of, it was copied from someone else.
Questions
Before you ask.
How do I check privacy policy on my own site?

Your turn
Same check,
run on your site.
The check behind this page is the one we ran on every business above. Put your own address in and it will load your site on a phone screen, look at the certificate and the page age, and tell you what a visitor meets. No email, nothing stored.
Start with a
straight answer.
Describe the business and where it works. We come back with what we would change, what it would cost and how long it takes — or with a reason not to bother.
