A call button that stays on screen
On a phone the number is one tap away from anywhere on the page. Emergency and after-hours availability stated plainly if you offer it — and not implied if you do not.
Plumbers · Ontario
Most plumbing calls start on a phone, in a hurry, with water where it should not be. A plumber's site has a few seconds to show the number, the area you cover and whether you come out tonight. Everything else on the page comes second.
We opened the websites of 599 GTA plumbing businesses. 30 no longer load at all while their Google listing still points to them, 148 have no quote or contact form, and 91 carry a copyright line five or more years old.
The bigger gap is reviews. The median GTA plumber has 41 Google reviews; the five most reviewed have between 1,910 and 2,841. A small shop will not close that with the listing alone. The website has to win the people who click through to compare.
On a phone the number is one tap away from anywhere on the page. Emergency and after-hours availability stated plainly if you offer it — and not implied if you do not.
Drain cleaning, water heaters, sump pumps, backflow testing, bathroom rough-ins — a page each for the work that pays, so you rank for it and field fewer calls for work you would rather not take.
One page for each town you genuinely serve, with something real to say about working there. Not forty copies with the town name swapped; Google treats those as doorway pages.
Short, built for a phone, with room for a picture of the leak or the old tank. You quote faster and make fewer wasted trips.
Liability insurance and WSIB status in the footer and on the contact page. Property managers and commercial clients look for them before they call.
Categories, service area, hours and job photos set up and kept current — for plumbers the map pack is where most calls come from.
By the size of the business. A one-truck plumber is genuinely cheaper to build for than a company with several crews and service areas, and the price says so.
| Size of business | Website | Monthly |
|---|---|---|
| Solo operator or a two-person shop | $590 | $129 |
| A crew of three to ten | $1,190 | $299 |
| Ten or more, or several locations | $2,400 | $590 |
| Legal, medical or financial practice | $3,900 | $990 |
The build is paid after the site is finished and you have seen it. The monthly part covers hosting, the domain, edits, your Google Business Profile and ongoing search work, and can be cancelled any month. Full pricing.
You pay after the site is built. Not a deposit, not half up front — nothing until it is finished and you have looked at it. If you do not want it, you do not pay for it, and we would rather absorb that than argue someone into a site they are unhappy with.
Our prices are published in full, so the number does not change once we know what you drive. There is no contract: the monthly part is month to month, and the domain and the site are yours either way.
We do not publish client names — the businesses we work for asked us not to, and we would rather keep that promise than win an argument on a web page. What we can show you is our work on the whole market: we opened 34,180 GTA business websites one at a time and published everything we found. Run the same check on your own site, free and without an email, on our site checker.
In Ontario construction, WSIB coverage is compulsory for almost everyone who runs the business, sole proprietors included, with a narrow exemption for home renovation work done directly for the homeowner. Commercial clients will ask for a clearance certificate before you start. Our guide: WSIB clearance certificates for contractors.

Ours are $590 for a one-person operation and $1,190 for a crew of three to ten, paid after the site is built. Hosting, edits and your Google listing run $129 to $299 a month and can be cancelled any month.
The Google listing produces most emergency calls; the website decides whether someone comparing three plumbers calls you. A visible number, clear hours and a believable service area are what move that. Nobody can promise a ranking.
Only for towns you actually serve and can say something true about. A handful of honest area pages does better than forty templated ones.
