Keyword intent.
What the person typing actually wants — to learn something, to compare options, or to buy now. Three different pages serve those three, and one page serves none of them well.
Why it matters.
"How much does a kitchen renovation cost" and "kitchen renovation Mississauga" are not the same search and should not land on the same page. Most small business sites have plenty of pages for the last kind and nothing at all for the first, which is why they never get found by anyone who is not already deciding.
How to check it yourself.
List the five questions customers ask you before buying. If your site has no page answering any of them, you are only visible to people who already decided.
