Physiotherapy clinics · Ontario

Physio clinic websites,
built to the 2025 standard.

Patients choose a physio clinic on three questions: can I get in this week, do you bill my insurer directly, and is it near me. A good clinic site answers all three on the first screen — and keeps within the College's advertising standard while it does.

What we found on GTA physio sites.

We opened the websites of 716 GTA physiotherapy clinics. 288 have no booking or enquiry form, for a business whose whole funnel is getting a first assessment into the calendar. And 230 of the 921 clinics in our survey show no opening hours on their Google listing at all.

Physio is competitive on reviews: the median GTA clinic has 115 Google reviews and a quarter have 249 or more. The listing cannot explain what an assessment involves, what it costs or who pays for it. The website has to.

What a clinic site needs.

Booking on the first screen

Connected to the clinic software you already use where it allows that, or a short request form that reception calls back from.

Direct billing, WSIB and MVA explained

Which insurers you bill directly, how motor vehicle accident and WSIB claims work at your clinic, and what a patient pays on the day. The questions reception answers all week.

Titles the College accepts

Each clinician listed with the protected title after the name as registered — "Jane Doe, PT" — and no "Dr" before a physiotherapist's name, whatever the degree. "Specialist" only with a recognised specialty designation.

Package offers with the three disclosures

If you sell packages, the standard asks you to state what is included, that services can be bought individually, and that unused sessions are refunded. We put that wording beside the offer.

A page per condition and service

Back pain, concussion, pelvic health, sports injury, vestibular — whichever your team actually treats, each with its own page, written without promises about outcomes.

Reviews used properly

Unlike dentists and massage therapists, physiotherapists may use testimonials, provided they are genuine and consented to where a name appears. A link to your Google reviews needs no consent at all.

What it costs.

A physiotherapy clinic is in the fourth band in our pricing: more pages, regulated language and a high value per new patient. A single-practitioner practice may fall into a lower band, and we say which before we start.

Size of businessWebsiteMonthly
Solo operator or a two-person shop$590$129
A crew of three to ten$1,190$299
Ten or more, or several locations$2,400$590
Legal, medical or financial practice$3,900$990

The build is paid after the site is finished and you have seen it. The monthly part covers hosting, the domain, edits, your Google Business Profile and ongoing search work, and can be cancelled any month. Full pricing.

How it works.

  1. A call with the owner or lead physiotherapist. Services, insurers you bill, how booking works now and where it loses people.
  2. We check your current site against the standard. Titles, "best" claims, package wording, free-assessment offers. You get the list whether or not you hire us.
  3. We build it and send a live preview link.
  4. Your physiotherapists review it. The standard makes each of them responsible for advertising placed on their behalf, so each should see it before it goes live.
  5. Live, then you pay. The monthly part covers hosting, edits, the Google listing and search work.

Why you can believe a price you have not negotiated.

You pay after the site is built. Not a deposit, not half up front — nothing until it is finished and you have looked at it. If you do not want it, you do not pay for it, and we would rather absorb that than argue someone into a site they are unhappy with.

Our prices are published in full, so the number does not change once we know what you drive. There is no contract: the monthly part is month to month, and the domain and the site are yours either way.

We do not publish client names — the businesses we work for asked us not to, and we would rather keep that promise than win an argument on a web page. What we can show you is our work on the whole market: we opened 34,180 GTA business websites one at a time and published everything we found. Run the same check on your own site, free and without an email, on our site checker.

We wrote the guide on the standard.

The College of Physiotherapists of Ontario's Advertising and Marketing Standard took effect on May 1, 2025. Our plain-English summary — testimonials, "best" claims, titles, packages and free assessments — is public: what a physiotherapy clinic website may say.

Many clinics also employ registered massage therapists, whose College does not allow testimonials at all: massage therapist website rules. Also: online booking for Ontario clinics AODA website requirements

Questions

Asked often.

Can a physiotherapy clinic website show testimonials?

Yes, unlike dental and massage therapy websites. The College's FAQ sets conditions: the testimonial must be genuine, written by a patient who received care, not paid for, and used with informed consent where a name, photo or health information appears.

Can a physiotherapist use "Dr" on the clinic website?

No. The College's titles standard does not allow a physiotherapist to use "Doctor" or "Dr" in connection with providing or promoting health services, whatever their degree.

Can we advertise a free assessment?

Only in a limited way: the standard allows free consultations or assessments to be advertised for general education or health awareness, with any conditions stated. We word the offer accordingly, or leave it out.

How much does a physiotherapy clinic website cost?

A physiotherapy clinic site is $3,900 in our pricing, paid after it is built, with $990 a month for hosting, edits, the Google listing and search work. A single-practitioner practice may fall into a lower band, and we say so before starting.

Do I pay anything up front?

No. You pay once the site is built and you have seen it. If you do not want it, you do not pay.

Is there a contract?

No. The monthly fee is month to month and can be cancelled any month. The domain and the site stay yours.
